Dave, N4LCC making 20 meter phone contasts from the back of his pickup to qualify LA103 for the first time.
Rig
was Yaesu FT 857 to a Hustler 6BTV vertical. Running 100 watts on SSB
mostly on 20 meters but a few on 40 meters. It got too cold to continue
past dark so we did not use 80 meters. It was a learning experience for
me and will be better prepared in the future. Total contacts were 41
USA one in Canada.
