Adak June 7th, 2009 The operators (Johnny, KE7V and Yuri, N3QQ) will concentrate on 6m operation towards NA and JA while waiting for a supply ship in Adak. For HF we built two vertical dipoles for 20m (will use as 1/4 waves for 40m). We will look for EU stations around 06-08 UTC. ETA of Coastal Merchant in Adak is June 11th.

If we find a new charter, we plan to operate from Ogliuga Island
June 14-19th. IOTA NEW-ONE NA-233.

If no charter is found, we will only have 24-36 hours time frame to operate from Gareloi Island June 12-14th NEW ONE NA-233

Rick reports: QTH will be a beach house on the "sound" side (west) of Cape Hatteras, Salvo, NC. I will only be operating 20m PSK31 with a dipole, trying out my new Small Wonder labs PSK-20.  This is a vacation/wedding trip with my daughter's wedding on 6/13 so most of my operating will be limited to earlier in the week up thru Thursday 6/11/09.  QSL direct to N5EYT, via buro or LOTW.  Start time will be no earlier than 2000Z 6/7/09 and will finish no later than 1200Z 6/15/09.

Mike W8RKO, Mark WD8DPA, and John N8UR are planning to operate portable from Beaver Island, Michigan, during the VHF QSO Party. They will be located at the south end of the island, with a straight shot down 280 miles of Lake Michigan to Chicago and thereabouts. Sunday morning could be particularly exciting if there is any ducting going on. They will be QRV on 6m-70cm, plus 1.296 and 10 GHz, using CW/SSB/FM. For 6 meters (USi) they be running 100 watts into a 3 element yagi at 60 feet above the water.

Primary 14.260 and 7.260 +- QRM. This will be a joint venture
of clubs KL7RST, VY1RST and VE8RST to promote Amateur Radio in the north.

The 400th anniversary of the mapping of Chesapeake Bay and QCWA Chapter 119'’s 30th anniversary. The history of Tangier Island will be promoted as part of this operation.
Team members include: Quint Webb, K4CQW; Stu Spatz, K4MIL; Butch Burke, KE4AZL; Terry Hunsicker, KI4RXC; Talley George, W4TVG; Vic Culver, W4VIC; Ron Young, W8RJL; and Barry Priddy, K5VIP.
The group will operate three stations - CW, SSB, and RTTY on all bands 80 through 6 meters as conditions permit. W4T will participate in the IOTA contest beginning at 1200 UTC on July 25 through 1200 UTC on July 26. QSL via K5VIP for a special QSL card. Logs will be uploaded to LoTW and eQSL

The same group that activated Chuginadak Island (NA-234) is now planning to activate Ogliuga Island (NA-233, Grid AO52) in the Delarof Islands Group next year between July 23 and August 5, 2009. Jeff Williams with USFWS (KL2HD) suggested to land on Ogliuga instead of Goreloi due to much better camping spot and portion of it not wilderness, so generator can be used. Activity is planned for all bands 160-6 meters, including an entry in the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 25-26th). Operators are Yuri/N3QQ, Sergey/RA3NAN, Victor/RU4SU and Yuri/UA9OBA. QSL via AC7DX. Further information at:
